Congress – 3rd District
Melissa Vine
Hi! I am Melissa Vine, and I’m running for Congress in Iowa’s Third District because I want to change the systems that are harming people.
About ten years ago, I got out of an abusive marriage and overnight, I went from being a wealthy small business owner to having $0 to my name – and four little boys, ages 9 and under. Quickly, I began checking groceries for $8.50/hour. I can still remember the shame of poverty and trying to hide my SNAP EBT card in the check-out lane.
