DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of live music\, local art\, and delicious baked treats! A team of local Reproductive Freedom volunteers is partnering with IAAF to host a fundraiser in the Crescent Room at Big Grove Brewery & Taproom. The event features a craft fair\, with a variety of homemade art and items\, along with live music from local bands\, including No Vacancy and School of Rock. Homemade baked goods and treats from local bakeries will also be available through a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Iowa Abortion Access Fund during Fund-a-Thon 2024 and enable abortion access for those in need. Abbey is the Executive Director and co-founder of Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence\, a grassroots movement of educators across America whose mission is to empower teachers and school staff to demand that communities are safe from gun violence.\n\nTeachers Unify is the bridge connecting the education and gun violence prevention spaces — filling a gap in the national dialogue around gun violence that has\, for too long\, excluded teachers. Abbey is a survivor teacher of the Sandy Hook School tragedy on December 14\, 2012 and has been an elementary teacher for 32 years. We then will be joined by a panel discussion with Mary Jane Cobb\, Past Executive Director of ISEA\, Rep. Molly Buck\, State Representative and teacher and Akshara Eswar\, State Director of March For Our Lives. The discussion will be moderated by Rep. Lindsay James.\n\nDoors open at 6:30 PM.
